Birthday Celebration The First
Karen and I drove to my folks' place in Port Dalhousie today, for a family birthday celebration. My grandfather and I were both born on July 22, so it was an opportunity for the two of us to sit down for some cake together for the first time since 1972 (a photo was taken of that last occasion, and my parents had it printed on the cake!). He and his new wife (my step-grandmother) recently moved to St Catherines, as has my mother's mother...so it's now possible for my parents to host such gatherings. My fathers' brother Dave was also there, with my Aunt Marianne...along with my brothers. It was a good time.
